Shrine of the Sacred Heart

The Sacred Heart statue was rescued from a fire that destroyed the old St. Philip Neri church. It is now enshrined in a beautiful outdoor setting next to the church.

St. Philip Neri
Patron Saint of the Parish

St. Philip Neri (1515-1595) was ordained a priest in 1551. He founded a confraternity of priests dedicated to charity and worked tirelessly to promote devotion to the Blessed Sacrament and frequent reception of Holy Communion.

St. Isaac Jogues

St. Isaac Jogues was one of the best known of the North American Martyrs who brought the Catholic faith to Native Americans in New York State. Father Jogues and his companions were captured by Mohawk Indians and tortured at Cole Island near Westport on Lake Champlain.


St. Ann with Mary as a child

St. Ann was the mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On the left of the double window St. Ann is depicted with Mary as a young girl.

St. Patrick

St. Patrick, who brought the Catholic faith to Ireland, is shown on the right. Immigrants from Ireland were early settlers in the Westport area.
